Royal Palm — Delivered & Installed Price
Florida’s signature avenue palm, from starter containers to 30-foot field specimens — every size priced delivered and planted.
Delivered & planted from $138
Roystonea regia
Nothing says established Florida money like a row of royal palms. The smooth gray trunk, the bright green crownshaft, the sheer height — it is the palm Cape Coral’s best streets are lined with. It is also a palm you want planted correctly the first time, because a leaning royal is expensive to fix and a 20-footer is not a DIY project.
Below is every royal palm size we stock with honest pickup and installed pricing. The big field-grown specimens include equipment time in the installed price — a 20-foot royal goes in with a machine, not shovels.
One honest warning before you buy: royals are self-cleaning, and a falling frond weighs 40-50 pounds. Plant them clear of pool cages, parked cars, and walkways — we will tell you on site if your spot is too tight.

Which Size Should You Buy?
The 7-gallon is a patient man’s bargain — royals grow fast once established. The 12-14 foot field-grown size is our most-installed tier for front yards; 15-18 and 20 foot specimens suit estate rows and long driveways. Plan for 60+ feet of mature height and give each palm room away from structures.
Royal Palm Pricing & Planting FAQ
How much does it cost to plant a row of royal palms?+
Multiply the installed price of your chosen size by the count — volume discounts start at 10 plants and trade pricing is available for contractors. A typical driveway row uses palms spaced 15-20 feet apart. Send us your measurement for an exact written quote.
Are royal palms hurricane-safe?+
Royals are hurricane-adapted: they shed fronds in extreme wind to protect the trunk, and healthy specimens overwhelmingly stood through Ian. The trade-off is you clean up the shed fronds after the storm.
Do royal palms need a lot of care in sandy soil?+
They are the hungriest palm we sell. Cape Coral’s sandy soil is short on potassium and magnesium, and royals show it first with yellowing older fronds. Budget for a proper 8-2-12-4Mg palm fertilizer schedule — see our fertilizer guide for timing around the Lee County summer blackout.
How tall do royal palms get?+
Sixty to seventy feet at maturity in SW Florida, with a crown spread around 20 feet. They belong on open lots and wide setbacks, not under power lines or tight side yards.
