Fruit Trees for SW Florida
Backyard mangos, avocados, and lychees that actually produce — picked for Zone 10 and our sandy soil.
Pine Island grows some of the best mangos in the country, and there's no reason your backyard can't do the same. SW Florida's Zone 10 climate is genuinely one of the few places in the continental US where mango, lychee, guava, and star fruit fruit reliably — the trick is variety selection and getting the tree through its first two summers.
A few things we tell every fruit-tree customer: plant on the south or southeast side of the house where winter cold snaps are buffered, keep the graft union above the soil line, and don't over-mulch against the trunk — our summer humidity will rot it. Sandy soil means young trees need consistent water the first 90 days, but mature trees here rarely need irrigation at all. If your lot is on a canal, avocado and mango both tolerate the occasional salt breeze better than most people expect.
Every tree below is priced for pickup and delivery — no mystery quotes. Want it planted right the first time, or want help picking a variety that ripens when you're actually in town? Request a free quote or call/text (239) 799-5594.
