Privacy is the single most common reason people call us. Cape Coral lots are 10,000 square feet with houses forty feet apart, and half the city is under construction — a dense hedge fixes what a 6-foot fence can't even reach. The two plants we install more than everything else combined are clusia and areca palm: clusia for a tough, salt-tolerant wall that needs trimming once or twice a year, arecas for a taller, softer screen that fills in faster.

The right pick depends on your line. Podocarpus shapes into the cleanest formal hedge and handles the cooler winters north of the Caloosahatchee. Viburnum is the budget row that still looks good. Clumping bamboo (never running) gets you 15 feet of screen in two seasons where you need height fast. On canal and Gulf-side lots, sea grape and silver buttonwood shrug off the salt spray that burns everything else. Spacing matters as much as species — most hedges here get planted at 3 feet on center, and we'll tell you honestly when fewer, larger plants beat a long row of 3-gallons.
