A Canary Island date palm is the single most impressive tree money can buy in SW Florida — a massive pineapple-cut crown on a trunk that can be three feet across. Because every field specimen is different (trunk height, caliper, crown condition), Canaries are priced per tree rather than off a fixed menu. Installed pricing typically starts around the figure below and rises with trunk height.
What never changes is what the price includes: sourcing a healthy, weevil-free specimen, freight, crane or skid-steer installation, staking, watering-in, and a preventive treatment plan recommendation — freshly transplanted Phoenix palms are palmetto weevil magnets for their first year, and we will not sell you one without telling you that.

Delivery & install orders carry a $1,500 plant minimum (smaller quantities can be picked up at the nursery or bundled into a larger planting), and install labor has a $250 job minimum. Volume discounts start at 10 plants; landscape contractors get trade pricing.

Which Size Should You Buy?
Most residential Canaries go in with 4 to 8 feet of clear trunk — commanding without needing a full-size crane. Estate and commercial installs go bigger. Access is the deciding factor: we site-check gate clearance, septic lines, and overhead wires before final quoting. Why don’t Canary Island date palms have a fixed price list?+
Because no two field specimens are alike. Pricing is set per tree based on clear-trunk height, caliper, and crown quality, plus the equipment your site needs. The typical starting figure for a delivered-and-installed specimen is shown above; taller trunks cost more.
Are Canary Island date palms hard to keep alive after transplant?+
The first year is the risky one. The two things that kill transplanted Canaries are palmetto weevils and drought stress. We stake, water-in, and recommend a preventive insecticide program for year one — after establishment they are tough, drought-tolerant trees.
How much room does a Canary Island date palm need?+
A mature crown spreads 25+ feet and the fronds carry serious spines at the base. Keep it 15+ feet off structures, pools, and walkways. It is a centerpiece tree for open front yards, circular drives, and gated entries.
Do you deliver Canary Island date palms outside Cape Coral?+
Yes — we install throughout our SW Florida service area including Fort Myers, Naples, Bonita Springs, and Punta Gorda. Large-specimen freight is quoted with the tree.
