Delivered & planted from $525
Veitchia arecina
Montgomery palms are what we recommend when someone asks for a Christmas palm "but bigger and faster," or a queen palm "but without the problems." A single clean trunk, a tidy emerald crown, self-cleaning habit, and a footprint narrow enough for side yards and pool corners — it is one of the best-kept secrets in SW Florida landscaping.
We stock 25-gallon singles for rows and accents, and field-grown triples that make an instant resort corner. Both are priced below, pickup and delivered-and-installed.

Which Size Should You Buy?
Singles planted in rows 10-12 feet apart make a clean avenue line along a driveway or pool cage. The field-grown triple is a one-piece focal point — three staggered trunks that look like a decade of growth on day one. Montgomery palms also satisfy Cape Coral’s 25-gallon code-tree minimum.
Montgomery Palm Pricing & Planting FAQ
Montgomery palm vs Christmas palm — what’s the difference?+
Montgomerys grow faster, taller (25-30 feet vs about 15-20), and have a slightly fuller crown. Christmas palms stay smaller and carry showy red fruit. If you want scale and speed, Montgomery; if you want compact, Christmas.
Are Montgomery palms a good queen palm replacement?+
The best one, alongside foxtails. You get the same graceful single-trunk look without the queen’s frizzle top, fusarium risk, and constant seed mess — and Montgomerys hold up better in wind.
How close to a pool cage can you plant a Montgomery palm?+
Give it 6-8 feet so the mature crown clears the screen. The root system is non-invasive and pool-deck safe; it is the frond spread you are spacing for.
Do Montgomery palms handle salt?+
Moderately — fine on most canal lots, not a beachfront palm. For direct spray exposure choose coconut or sabal palms instead.
