Pavers fail in Southwest Florida for one reason: the base. Our sandy soil drains fast, which is good, but it also shifts under a driveway that was laid on two inches of sand and a prayer. A year later the edges roll, the low spot holds water after every afternoon storm, and weeds grow in every joint. A paver job done right in Cape Coral or Fort Myers starts with excavation, a compacted crushed base, a screeded bedding layer, edge restraint that is actually anchored, and joints locked with polymeric sand.
That is how we build every driveway extension, patio, walkway and pool deck. Concrete pavers in the standard SW Florida colors for driveways and walks; travertine or larger-format pavers for pool decks and lanais where you want it cooler underfoot and less slippery when wet. We can pull and haul off an old cracked concrete slab first, tie the new paver field into an existing driveway apron, and set borders and soldier courses so the field reads as finished, not just filled in.
Cape Coral and Lee County require a permit for some driveway work, especially anything that widens the apron in the right of way. We tell you up front whether your project needs one and handle the paperwork when it does.

How pricing works
Pavers are $8 per square foot installed. That includes excavation, base material and compaction, bedding sand, standard concrete pavers, edge restraint, polymeric sand and cleanup. A 400 square foot patio is $3,200; a 20 by 30 driveway extension is $4,800. Premium pavers or travertine, removing an existing concrete slab, retaining walls, steps and drainage work are priced on top and shown as their own lines in the quote so you can see exactly what each adds.
We measure the area on site and you get a written number before anything is dug. Landscape contractors and property managers get the 10% trade discount. Sealing after installation is optional and quoted separately when you want it.

How much do pavers cost installed in Cape Coral?+
Eight dollars per square foot installed with standard concrete pavers, which includes excavation, compacted base, bedding sand, edge restraint and polymeric sand. Travertine, concrete removal, walls and steps are quoted as separate lines on top of that.
Do I need a permit for a paver driveway in Cape Coral?+
Often yes for driveway work, particularly widening the apron or anything in the right of way. Patios and walkways on your own lot usually do not. We check your project against the city and county requirements and tell you before we quote it.
Will the pavers shift or sink?+
Not when the base is built right. We excavate, place crushed base and compact it in lifts, screed a bedding layer, and anchor edge restraint around the whole perimeter. Most sinking and rolling paver jobs in SW Florida were laid on sand alone; we do not do that.
Can you lay pavers over my existing concrete?+
Sometimes, if the slab is sound, drains correctly and the height works with your doors and garage. Most of the time the better job is to remove the cracked slab and build a proper base. We look at it and give you both options with prices when both make sense.
